A FOREST IN THE CENTER OF MILAN
Our project was born from the desire to stimulate, through symbolic gestures, a broader reflection on a concrete environmental commitment, involving all teachers and students.
All trees are good for the environment: they absorb CO2, emit oxygen, promote biodiversity, counteract soil erosion and much more. To offset the carbon dioxide (CO2) generated by our travels and those of the students we have created a forest on Treedom.
TREEDOM
Since its launch, Treedom has planted more than 550,000 trees in Africa, Latin America, Asia and Italy. Every tree has an online page, is geolocated and photographed, and can be kept for oneself or gifted to others. All trees are planted directly by local farmers and produce environmental, social and economic benefits.
Treedom is the only website in the world that allows you to plant a tree remotely and follow it online.
A farmer will plant it and take care of it. The tree will be photographed, geolocated and will have an online page.
Those who plant a tree will be able to see their tree photographed, view the exact location on a map, know its characteristics and its meaning, receive updates on its growth and the amount of CO2 removed from the environment.
Treedom trees are planted in agroforestry projects where they have a social, economic and environmental benefit. Each tree is, for those who plant it, the beginning of a job, the tool to produce food for themselves and their loved ones and the way to improve the habitat in which they live. Individual farmers or small farmers’ cooperatives receive an economic contribution for the planting of new trees.

During special occasions we will share one of our trees with you, giving it away and naming it with your name, as we have already done with our teachers and some students.
