OBJECTIVE: the course focuses on communication and the acquisition of the language in a very natural way. The course is designed to combine both the development of communication skills with a special attention to the morphosynthatic structure of the language for a deep understanding of the language itself.

DESCRIPTION: this course is composed by a standard Italian language course of 480 lessons, 80 special lessons about Italian history and culture, fashion, art, economy and design, 80 lessons devoted to the preparation for the AIL Examination and 10 lessons of tutoring and preparation of the final essay.

Scuola Leonardo da Vinci is a founding member of AIL (Italian Language Academy); at the end of the Academic Year, students may obtain a language proficiency certificate issued by AIL by writing a research essay on a topic of their choice. A personal tutor will help students to make it innovative and unique.

RECOMMENDED FOR: students wishing to take a “Gap Year” before enrolling in university or just want to live a one-of-a-kind formative experience combining language learning with exhaustive and varied cultural training.

For the students that start the Academic Year in September, the duration of their stay is 34 weeks, including 2-weeks holiday for Christmas.

  • The duration of the whole stay is 32 weeks, (34 weeks for the course starting in September which includes two weeks of Christmas holidays when no lessons are held).
