INTENSIVE COURSE
OBJECTIVE: the curriculum developed for this course aims at the acquisition of the right skills to interact in Italian in different daily situations both inside and outside school (e.g. restaurants, shops, business dinners…) by means of an intensive program of lessons.
DESCRIPTION: this intensive course runs from Monday to Friday, 20 lessons per week, 4 per day – from 1 to a maximum of 4 weeks.
The focus of the course is spoken communication amongst students of different nationalities attending the same class and having mixed ages. Art, literature as well as the city culture are some of the topics of dialogue and discussions proposed by the teachers to make lessons more interactive and fun. This is a foundation course; students can decide to add extra lessons according to their specific needs and expectations.
RECOMMENDED FOR: those students who want to acquire a strong insight into the Italian language and culture and, at the same time, have the chance to enjoy a dynamic and young Milan and discover its artistic and incredibly modern monuments and buildings.

SUPER INTENSIVE GROUP COURSE
OBJECTIVE: two extra hours per day on top of the intensive course offer the students a better chance to enlarge their vocabulary, improve their communicative abilities and refine their speaking skills in a very short time.
DESCRIPTION: the course consists of 4 intensive Italian lessons per day plus 2 extra hours of conversation per day for a total of 30 lessons per week. The conversation lessons are organized in groups according to the student’s level of ability in the language in order to improve effectively their confidence in speaking and listening. Besides, this is also a good chance to make use of the acquired vocabulary while discussing different topics.
RECOMMENDED FOR: students wishing to speak Italian fluently and who want to reach this goal in the shortest time possible. The grammar and vocabulary learned during the standard lessons will be practiced during special conversation sessions in groups.

INTENSIVE COURSE PLUS 5 & 10
OBJECTIVE: the course aims at deepening the student’s knowledge of grammar, vocabulary, expressions, and other specific issues, according to his/her personal or professional requirements by adding one-to-one lessons to the standard course.
DESCRIPTION: five or ten 45-minute lessons, from Monday to Friday, to be added to the Italian intensive language course. This programme is particularly effective since it combines the benefit offered by learning and interacting in a group with the flexibility and the individual attention proposed by private lessons.
In this way, students are ensured that these sessions are 100% focused on their requirements and match their specific needs – e.g. a university test or an important job interview or a simple reinforcement of the language.
RECOMMENDED FOR: students wishing to deepen their insight in the language at their personal learning pace and according to their personal or professional needs.

“Discovering your origins”: Italian language course for the descendants of Italian emigrants abroad
INTRO: Throughout its history, the Italian population has witnessed the flow of entire families leaving their country to go abroad in search of better life and work conditions as well as well-being.
It comes to our mind the great migrations to North America (United States and Canada), South America (Brazil, Argentina and Venezuela) and the faraway Australia.
Many families also moved to Europe, to neighbouring Switzerland or Germany and the United Kingdom.
To avoid losing their culture and identity, Italian emigrants never stopped talking to their children and descendants in their mother tongue – from the dialect to the modern language – passing them down stories and traditions about the place they came from.
OBJECTIVE: The course “discovering your origins” aims at carrying on and deepening the transmission of the Italian language and culture to the descendants of Italian emigrants abroad, allowing them to discover the origins of their ancestors.
DESCRIPTION: The course includes the participation in 4 daily Italian language group lessons with students of different nationalities, plus 6 weekly lessons (Monday-Wednesday-Friday) with the following program:
- history of the Italian emigration
- analysis of the region and the place where the student’s ancestors started their journey
- study of the dialect spoken in the region of origin
- research on the origins of the student’s surname with the help of the teacher
- planning the visit to the place of origin of the student’s family
In the case of only 1 participant, the number of lessons related to the specific program will be reduced to 3 private lessons per week.
Following the request of a group of interested students, it will be possible to arrange a visit to the place of origin of their families together with a teacher (to be quoted apart).
Still on request, we can offer assistance to students wishing to request the Italian citizenship (to be quoted apart).
In order to participate in the course, it is necessary to have Italian origins, proven by a document attesting the Italian citizenship of the student or the parents / ancestors. An elementary level (A2) of Italian is required.
The course has a minimum duration of 2 weeks and a maximum of 12 weeks.
RECOMMENDED FOR: the course is dedicated to the descendants of Italian emigrants abroad, coming from any part of the world, who wish to come to Italy to deepen their language of origin and eventually visit the place where their ancestors departed from.
